MOVEMENTS

Experience the power of sport in an outdoor exhibition in the middle of Hertig Johans torg. Brighten the autumn darkness with a striking visual experience! This autumn, you can experience MOVEMENTS, a major outdoor exhibition capturing speed, strength and precision in attention-grabbing images. It is being shown in Sweden for the first time, right in the centre of Skövde. The exhibition is by photographer Geoff Lowe, who portrays sport in a unique way. By combining several image sequences in a single photograph, he brings the full movement to life. A jump, a running stride or a dive becomes more than just a moment: you can follow the power, concentration and movement through the image. Geoff Lowe is based in the United Kingdom and has a background in athletics, which shapes the way he portrays the dynamics and precision of sport. The exhibition includes images featuring events from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Art in everyday life
This exhibition is for both art enthusiasts and those fascinated by sport. As it is on display outdoors in the city centre, it is easy to discover during a visit to Skövde, whether you are here to shop, take a walk or spend a day in town. Here, art and everyday life come together in a way that sparks curiosity and invites new perspectives.
