Experience the power of sport in an outdoor exhibition in the heart of Hertig Johans torg. Brighten the autumn darkness with a striking visual experience! This autumn, you can experience MOVEMENTS, a large-scale outdoor exhibition capturing speed, strength and precision in images that draw the eye. It is being shown in Sweden for the first time, right in the centre of Skövde. The exhibition is by photographer Geoff Lowe, who portrays sport in a unique way. By bringing together several image sequences in a single photograph, he makes the full movement visible. A jump, a running stride or a dive becomes more than a single moment: you can follow the power, concentration and movement through the image. Geoff Lowe is based in the United Kingdom and has a background in athletics, which shapes the way he portrays the dynamics and precision of sport. The exhibition includes images featuring scenes from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Art in the middle of everyday life
This exhibition is for both art enthusiasts and those fascinated by sport. As it is shown outdoors in the city centre, it is easy to discover during a visit to Skövde, whether you are here for shopping, a walk or a day in town. Here, art and everyday life meet in a way that sparks curiosity and invites new perspectives.

Opening: 3 October at 11:00 at Hertig Johans torg. Exhibition producer Per Olsson from UpOnWalls and Theres Sahlström, Chair of Skövde Municipal Executive Board, will be visiting.

The exhibition is also part of the build-up to SM-veckan in Skövde 2027.
