Coffee Cottage at Torpet, Bö Tjärn

Coffee Cottage at Torpet is open Sundays, 11 am–2 pm. Welcome to freshly brewed coffee and fika in the Coffee Cottage at Friluftsfrämjandet’s Torp, or sit at the tables in the garden.

Opening hours: Sundays, 11 am–2 pm, from 4 October to 22 November.
Fika prices: Adults 40 kr, children 20 kr.

Torpet is next to the walking trail around Bö Tjärn. Beside the garden, an adventure course invites visitors of all ages to play. There is a barbecue area in the garden. Please bring your own firewood.

If you have a dog, you can sit and have fika in the garden. Dogs are not allowed inside the Coffee Cottage, as children’s groups and school classes stay overnight in the cottage.

If you are hiking from the waterworks, you can choose the route to the right, about 1 km over gently rolling terrain to Torpet. The route to the left is about 4 km over hilly terrain.

A trail is marked from Märkeslingan (the exercise trail just outside Skärhamn) to the walking trail around Bö Tjärn/Torpet. The trail starts just north of the barbecue area at the far end of the loop. Park at Märkeslingan and follow the left-hand part of the exercise trail. At the far end of the loop, look for a sign marked “Bö Tjärn.” Follow the orange markings to the walking trail around Bö Tjärn. When you reach the second stile over the fence around the cow pasture, walk straight ahead towards Bö Tjärn. Then follow the orange trail to Torpet.

It takes about 45 minutes to walk from the car park to the Coffee Cottage/Torpet; the distance is about 4 km. Good walking shoes or boots are recommended, as the trail is hilly and wet in places. You can cycle from the car park along the exercise trail to where the path begins.
