Coffee House at Torpet, Bö Tjärn

Coffee House at Torpet is open Sundays, 11:00–14:00. Welcome to freshly brewed coffee and fika in the coffee house at Friluftsfrämjandet’s Torp, or sit at the tables in the garden. Open Sundays, 11:00–14:00, from 4 October to 22 November. Fika prices: adults 40 kr, children 20 kr.

Torpet is next to the hiking trail around Bö Tjärn. Beside the garden there is an adventure trail for children and adults to enjoy. There is a barbecue area in the garden. Please bring your own firewood.

If you have a dog, you can sit and have fika in the garden. Dogs are not allowed inside the coffee house because groups of children and school classes stay overnight at the cottage.

If you are hiking, you can turn right and walk about 1 km over gently rolling terrain to Torpet. If you turn left, it is about 4 km over hilly terrain when starting from the waterworks. We have marked a path from Märkeslingan (the exercise trail just outside Skärhamn) to the hiking trail around Bö Tjärn/Torpet. The path starts just north of the barbecue area at the far end of the loop. Park at Märkeslingan and follow the left-hand section of the exercise trail. At the far end of the loop there is a sign marked “Bö Tjärn.” Follow the orange markings to the hiking trail around Bö Tjärn. When you reach the second stile over the cow pasture fence, go straight ahead towards Bö Tjärn. Then follow the orange trail to Torpet.

It takes about 45 minutes to walk from the car park to the coffee house/cottage; the distance is about 4 km. Good shoes or boots are recommended, as the path is hilly and wet in places. You can cycle from the car park along the exercise loop to where the path begins.
