Guided Tour of Limhamn Limestone Quarry

Discover Limhamn limestone quarry on a guided walking tour. You’ll learn more about the quarry’s geology, nature and history. Tours last approximately 2 hours. Children from around age 10 may join, but please note that the content is primarily intended for adults and the terrain is uneven and hilly.

It is not possible to leave the tour early, as the quarry is a closed nature reserve. For safety reasons, the quarry cannot be visited without a guide.

Meeting point
We’ll meet at the gate leading down to the quarry, near the small water tower. The address is Kalkbrottsgatan 114 (it is not signposted on the road, but works well in, for example, Google Maps), opposite the short end of Hammars park.

Important information before the tour
The walk goes up and down hills, so make sure to wear suitable clothing and shoes. You need to be in good physical condition to walk around the quarry and, in particular, to manage the uphill climb out of it.

Dogs are not allowed in the quarry.
Smoking is not permitted.
There are no toilets in or by Limhamn limestone quarry. Toilets are available in Hammarspark, near the adventure playground by Tältängsvägen, approximately 500 metres from the quarry.
Bring water in warm weather!
