The Lost Theatre: Behind-the-Scenes Stories

Since the new theatre building opened in 1974, it has undergone many changes and transformations. On this tour, we’ll visit places that probably even the theatre staff have never seen! We’ll follow the traces of the lost theatre, explore the stories of the people who worked here, and uncover many theatre secrets that are sure to surprise you. You’ll have the chance to see spaces beneath and above the stage, learn how the inner courtyard became a rehearsal room, and find out where government officials spent their breaks. Join us on a journey through time into the lost opera and ballet theatre! The tour begins in the theatre’s box-office foyer. Concessions and discounts do not apply to this tour. Not recommended for children under 7 or people with mobility difficulties. This tour gives individual visitors the opportunity to explore backstage areas.
