On Saturday, 5 December 2026, from 10:00 to 15:00, Konttila celebrates the opening of the Christmas season. An elf village will open in the grounds of Konttila. Christmas at Konttila, in the heart of the Puijo forest, is authentic and atmospheric, with plenty of beautiful things to see. At the Christmas opening, enjoy Christmas music by Lauluyhtye Säihke, pet Tuisku the reindeer, play Christmas ham bingo, and meet Santa Claus and his elves. The lovely hobby-horse reindeer will once again race off to spend the winter at Konttila. The café will serve Lohiparon’s salmon soup, Christmas porridge and seasonal treats. A warm welcome to Konttila’s Christmas opening. On event days, parking is available in the parking areas at Ylä-Antikkalan lean-to shelter and the disc golf course. The parking spaces in the courtyard are reserved for people with reduced mobility.
