Knipi

Zachris “Knipi” Stierncreutz is a singer-songwriter whose melancholic style is familiar to every Finnish pop music listener. He is known as a founding member of Egotrippi and an award-winning composer who, over a career spanning more than thirty years, has written hundreds of songs for himself, Egotrippi and some of Finland’s leading pop artists, including Jonna Tervomaa, Anna Puu and Irina. In recent years, he has become best known as a solo artist. Knipi will release his third solo album, Sivellinvetoja, in October 2026 and will then embark on an autumn tour of around twenty shows with a band that brings nuanced interpretations to his songs. On 22 May, Knipi will release the single “Sivellinvetoja”, the first taste of the forthcoming album. Reflecting stages of Knipi’s life, the album showcases his beloved, sensitive acoustic side. The four-time Emma Award-winning singer-songwriter Knipi released his previous solo album, Valoilmiöitä, in spring 2022. He is now preparing a new solo album, due for release in autumn 2026 via Lördag. A tour will follow. Knipi’s book Kuinka vangita perhonen (Tammi) will also be published on 2 October 2025.
