After making an eagerly awaited return to her solo career following a break of more than three years, Vesala will set off this autumn on the most extensive concert hall tour of her career, travelling throughout Finland. The Laulumailla tour will visit 16 locations. Its intimate atmosphere will bring audiences closer to the artist than ever before. The tour will feature much-loved songs from Vesala’s catalogue, as well as songs she has written for other artists.
“This autumn, I’m setting off to tour Finland’s concert halls for the first time in a long while! I invite you to wander with me through my songlands. I’ve long dreamed of a slightly more intimate and informal concert experience. We’ll also play many much-requested, more delicate songs and new arrangements from my solo catalogue, as well as a few songs I’ve written for other artists each evening. I’ll accompany us on this journey through the songs by sharing a little about them and whatever else comes to mind. May the music be made of sorrow, but also of joy and excitement! It’s going to be wonderful!” says Vesala about the tour.
Vesala is one of Finland’s most highly regarded artists. Her music is a distinctive combination of uncompromising artistry and hits that reach audiences across the country, both on radio and through streaming services. Her tender comeback single “Sellaista kuin sä” was performed live on the semi-final of The Voice Of Finland on the day it was released, moving an audience of millions. Known for her many artistic talents, Vesala released her third album, Näkemiin melankolia, before her lengthy break. Its major hit “Pahanilmanlinnut” received extensive radio play and has streamed well beyond platinum level.
Vesala was last seen on stage, among other appearances, during PMMP’s 2024 tour, which included two sold-out stadium shows. Before that, she had captivated audiences on stages throughout her solo career, in concert halls, at festivals and in arenas. In spring 2020, Vesala received the Live of the Year award at the Emma Gaala for her first solo concert at Hartwall Arena.
The concert is expected to last 2 hours, including an intermission.
