Punk rock band Nyrkkitappelu has proclaimed itself Finland’s biggest rock band since its very first gig, and it has what it takes to live up to that claim. The band’s catchy melodies, electric guitar riffs, and shows at both festivals and packed clubs have earned it a steadily growing fanbase. The album “Nyrkkitappelu. Nyt!”, released in February 2026, reached the top spots on the album charts, and many shows on the album-release tour have sold out. The band’s music echoes the heroes of scandirock and Finnish rock classics, not forgetting the diverse cultural heritage of Tampere. Nyrkkitappelu is one of Finland’s most popular punk rock bands, known especially for its energetic, high-speed live performances.
