Black Devils feat. Ile Kallio & Janne Louhivuori (Hurriganes Show)

Black Devils feat. Ile Kallio & Janne Louhivuori, featuring two legendary Hurriganes guitarists, will perform at Sawohouse Underground in Kuopio on Friday, November 6. Known for their impressive live shows, the group will play Hurriganes’ biggest hits and live favourites, as well as new material and rarities. “The band’s aim is to honour the original and give listeners a proper journey back in time. With the new releases, Ile, Janne and I are also looking to the future. In the autumn, a book by Topi Salmi, ‘30 vuotta hurrikaanin silmässä’ [30 Years in the Eye of the Hurricane], and a new album will be released. Welcome to the show!” says J-P Kakkola, who leads Black Devils.

Black Devils, currently celebrating 30 years in music, have worked with Ile Kallio and Janne Louhivuori in recent years. The group’s studio albums “Get Ready!” (2024) and “Hooked” (2025), as well as the live album “Debaser Stockholm” (2025), have received high praise from both fans and critics and reached the top of the album charts. Black Devils have also previously worked with Remu and Richard Stanley, producer of Hurriganes’ “Roadrunner” album.

Apparently, Black Devils was among the names proposed for Hurriganes in 1971, but Remu eventually thought of Johnny and the Hurricanes, and the rest is history. The core lineup of Black Devils, whose name honours the roots of the original Hurriganes, is J-P Kakkola (vocals, drums), Tero Salminen (bass) and Matti Kähkönen (guitar).
