Puppet Theatre Sampo: A Wonderful Christmas / SOLD OUT

Sampo’s Christmas performances are suitable for everyone, regardless of worldview: they contain no religious or commercial message. It is Christmas Eve in the land of the elves. Everyone is getting ready to celebrate Christmas together. The sauna is heating up, Christmas porridge is simmering, candles have been dipped, and gingerbread is baking. For little Teppana the elf, celebrating Christmas is new and wonderful. From the other elves, he learns age-old Christmas traditions and beliefs, but he learns something else too. He discovers the secret of Christmas. This performance, now a classic, brings audiences back year after year to experience its wonderful Christmas atmosphere. Duration: 45 min. Direction and script, puppets, music and set design: Maija Barić. Performed by: Ilpo Mikkonen, Elina Vehkaoja, Lassi Logrén. Free for groups from Espoo’s pre-primary education and Grade 1 classes as a Kulps Mielin määrin visit. Group bookings by email from Mon 17 Aug at 9:00: kulttuurikeskus.ilmo@espoo.fi
