Püünsi Village Meeting and Village Elder Election

The Püünsi village meeting will take place on 4 December from 18:00 to 20:00 at Püünsi School (Kooli tee 33, Püünsi village). The meeting agenda is the election of the village elder. Voting in the election is available via mobile app or by paper ballot at the meeting: votes can be cast through the mobile app from 24 to 28 November, and a vote cast electronically cannot later be changed by voting on paper. At the 4 December meeting, Püünsi village residents who did not use the electronic voting option may vote by paper ballot. Residents aged 16 or older whose registered place of residence, according to the Population Register, is Püünsi village may attend the meeting and vote. The list of village residents eligible to vote will be taken from the Population Register on 23 November, so residents must register their place of residence by 22 November at the latest. Anyone wishing to stand for village elder must send their written consent to the municipal government by 16 November at the latest. Consent can be sent by email to info@viimsi.ee or delivered to Viimsi Municipal Government (Nelgi tee 1). A candidate for village elder may be an adult resident of Püünsi village who meets the requirements set out in the Viimsi rural municipality statute and has also been registered in the Population Register as residing in Püünsi village for at least one year before registering as a candidate. Instructions for electronic voting and information about registered village elder candidates will be shared from 17 November through the municipality’s communication channels and the village elder election website: viimsi.ee/kulavanemate-valimised.
