University for Seniors: Tauno Tamm

Cybersecurity training: how to recognize scams and protect yourself? Tauno Tamm, cybersecurity content lead and training expert. Tauno holds a bachelor’s degree in Informatics and a master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Tartu, and has completed further training for information security managers. In 2025, he delivered cybersecurity workshops for older adults across Estonia, commissioned by the Estonian Information System Authority. Around 100,000 computer users take Tauno’s cyber hygiene courses each year. As part of his daily work, he monitors the scams currently being used by fraudsters, so the lecture includes examples that are relevant today, not a year ago. The training focuses mainly on three types of scams:

• investment fraud
• phishing
