Ene-Liis Semper’s “Heptagon” raises the question of what mythological memory means to contemporary people. The creators juxtapose and contrast creation myths with everyday life today. On stage is a group of people of different ages, all seeking inner balance despite stress and a constantly expanding social network. The source material includes myths from various peoples, the work of Hasso Krull, Byung-Chul Han’s books “The Burnout Society” and “The Transparency Society”, Estonian incantations, and more. Live music plays an important role, with percussionist Vambola Krigul performing. Author, director and set designer: Ene-Liis Semper. Sound design: Jakob Juhkam, Vambola Krigul. Lighting design: Siim Reispass. Dramaturg: Eero Epner. Consultant: Hasso Krull. Cast: Marika Vaarik, Mirtel Pohla, Simeoni Sundja, Alex Paul Pukk, Joonas Koff, Uku Pokk and Erling Eding (Eesti Draamateater). Premieres on 11 November 2026 in the main hall of Sakala 3 Teatrimaja.
