Workshop: Sketching in a Japanese Visual Style

On 14 January from 17:30 to 19:00, the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design will host the workshop “Sketching in a Japanese Visual Style” as part of the public programme for the exhibition “Contemporary Japanese Design”. The workshop aims to observe objects and try depicting them in a light, quick Japanese-inspired style. We will use a range of materials and techniques for drawing, drawing on visual language characteristic of Japan. The drawing will take place in the exhibition gallery, and materials will be provided. The instructor, Liisa Kruusmägi, is a freelance artist who sketches regularly and has completed two residencies in Japan. Young people and adults are welcome. The workshop will take place in the exhibition gallery.
