This workshop focuses on how to use AI to generate and develop creative ideas and create different types of content. Through practical examples and exercises, we will explore how AI can support creative thinking, help produce text and visual materials, and turn ideas into concrete solutions. At the same time, we will consider AI’s capabilities, limitations and responsible use.

In the workshop:
- Explore the capabilities of different AI tools for creative work and the tasks they are suited to.
- Practise generating, comparing and developing ideas with AI.
- Experiment with creating text, visuals and other creative materials, and combining them into a coherent solution.
- Learn to evaluate AI-generated content critically and identify inaccuracies, bias and misleading results.
- Consider risks related to copyright, privacy, confidentiality and the use of AI-generated content.
- Discuss human creative contribution, ethics, transparency and responsibility, and briefly explore the principles of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act).

By the end, participants will be able to use AI to find and develop ideas, create different kinds of creative materials, and assess the suitability and quality of the results. They will understand the main risks of using AI in creative work and be better equipped to make informed and responsible choices.

The workshop is practical and is intended for participants who can use a computer independently and have previously tried at least one AI tool. It lasts 4 academic hours and combines short explanations, practical examples, discussion and exercises. Please bring your own laptop for the practical work.

Before the workshop, participants are asked to create free accounts and sign in through a web browser to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Further preparation instructions and, if needed, information about using other tools will be sent to participants separately by email before the workshop.

To get the most out of the training, we recommend having a paid subscription to at least one AI platform, preferably ChatGPT or Gemini. Paid versions generally allow greater usage, which is particularly useful when generating images and other creative materials. A paid subscription is not required to participate; you can also take part in the practical exercises using free accounts.

The workshop will be led by Rain Tüür, a BCS Koolitus lecturer and software developer with experience teaching software development and applying AI in practice. He previously worked as a software developer at LHV and Eesti Energia and has been a trainer at BCS Koolitus since 2022.

The workshop is part of Arunädal and Eesti.ai’s “Kõige AI-targem rahvas” initiative.
