Christmas Gospel: The Return of Light

When the darkest time of the year arrives, the brightest holidays should be celebrated together. We’ll welcome the winter solstice with the most beautiful Christmas melodies and the energy of gospel music, brought to life by European champions—the Riga Cathedral Choir School Gospel Choir. The programme will include “Es skaistu rozīt' zinu”, “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”, “Laba slava sniedziņam” and other festive favourites beloved by audiences. Two outstanding figures in Latvian music will also join the evening: rapper and songwriter rolands če, bringing the songs unprecedented rhythms, and the talented singer Alise Haijima. The spirited performance of these lively young people and vivid soloists will conjure up the most important ingredient of the holidays—joy!
