Lasolla Ukulele Ensemble Concert

On 13 November at 17:00, the Lasolla ukulele ensemble will perform at Salaspils Municipality Library. The concert will feature music that brings together different cultures, generations and moods, along with poetry by Latvian poets. The Lasolla ukulele ensemble from Riga has brought together members since 2018 who meet in their free time to play together, enjoy making music and share that joy with their listeners. The ensemble is led by Ilze Vikmane and has ten members, two of whom are from Salaspils. Its repertoire is diverse and colourful, including arrangements of Latvian folk songs, songs by Latvian composers and classical music pieces. At this concert, the sound of the ukuleles will be complemented by poetry by Latvian poets, creating a special musical and poetic gathering and inviting everyone to pause for a moment amid the rush of daily life and listen to the music and poetry. You are invited to a warm and inspiring meeting with music and poetry!
