We are starting a series of guided tours that take us to some of Tallinn’s houses—places you cannot simply walk into from the street, or at least explore throughout with someone who knows them. Autumn is the best time to visit Glehn Castle. At this time of year, its jagged stone walls seem especially mysterious, while the old trees appear to guard the secrets of times long past. Yet behind the castle’s unusual appearance lies a very real and remarkable story: the story of Nikolai von Glehn, his bold ideas, and the place he designed and brought to life according to his unique vision. We invite you on a tour of the castle—a visit filled with secrets, historical discoveries, and the quiet charm of old Nõmme. Your guide will be Marina Dunajeva. We will meet at the entrance to Glehn Castle on 14 November at 14:30. Marina Dunajeva is a certified Tallinn guide and a member of the Tallinn Guide Association, with more than 20 years of professional experience in tourism and guiding.
