Seals Swim 108 – Winter Swimming Relay

Continuing the tradition started during Latvia’s centenary, winter swimmers, patriots of their country and everyone else interested are invited to join the “Seals Swim 108” relay swim on 18 November 2026 at 13:00 at the Beberliņi reservoir, on the side of the “Tarzāns” adventure park. The relay swim is planned to last 108 minutes, with each minute symbolising a year in Latvia’s history. From 13:00 to 14:48, relay participants will take turns swimming, one after another. Relays in honour of the 108th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia will take place simultaneously throughout Latvia. No advance registration is required, and participation is free. Photos and videos will be taken during the event. See you in the water!
