On Friday, 20 November, at 16:00, a free workshop will take place at Seljametsa Museum. With guidance from the instructor, you can try for yourself how artificial intelligence can make everyday life and work easier. The workshop is part of Arunädal, a series of AI community events taking place across Estonia from 18–22 November.
This is a workshop, not a lecture. We’ll start with your own challenges: what takes up the most time in your week, what kind of letter is tedious to write, and what you’d like to try. We’ll work together on solving these tasks.
At the workshop, we’ll use simple illustrations to look at how AI learns and creates a response, and why it sometimes makes mistakes; practise giving AI clear instructions so its responses are useful; and try tasks that come up at museums, in village life and at home, such as announcements and posts, meeting summaries, letters to organisations, weekly menus, and plans for events and trips. We’ll also talk about what information you should not give to AI, how to check its responses, and how to recognise scams made with the help of AI.
When you leave, you’ll have tried AI for yourself, know at least one way to use it in future, and understand the basic rules for using it safely. You’ll also receive a sheet with ten ready-to-use prompts to try straight away.
The workshop is suitable both for people who have not yet tried AI and for those who already use it occasionally. No previous experience is needed, but basic computer skills are required. Bring your own computer. You can use whichever tool you like, such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or Claude. If you don’t have an account yet, we’ll help you get started.
According to an Emor survey commissioned by the Government Office (June 2026), 36% of people in Estonia use AI at work every day or often, while almost half use it rarely or not at all. Arunädal brings practical workshops to every county so that AI skills do not depend on where a person lives.
Attendance is free, but places are limited, so please register in advance. Workshop information and a short feedback questionnaire will be sent to the email address provided when registering.
