Topic: Security, risks, risk management, ethics. Level: Suitable for everyone. Format: Workshop.
AI is a valuable assistant in everyday work, but how can you use it so that the results are reliable and sensitive information remains protected? When is it worth turning to AI, and how can you use it wisely? In this practical workshop, we will explore how AI works and the opportunities it offers in different professions. We will learn to write better prompts, assess the reliability of AI-generated answers, and recognise situations where an apparently convincing answer may actually be misleading.
A major focus will be on security and responsibility: what information can be shared with AI; how to protect personal data and confidential information; and what you need to know about copyright and the rules governing AI use.
In the workshop, we will:
- explore how AI works, its capabilities and its limitations;
- discover practical ways to use AI for different work tasks;
- learn to write clear and effective prompts to get higher-quality answers;
- practise critically assessing AI-generated content and checking facts;
- discuss data protection, confidentiality and the main information security risks;
- learn about the principles of responsible AI use and the key legal requirements;
- analyse real-life work situations and discuss when using AI is sensible, when it is risky, and when it should be avoided;
- take away simple principles to help us use AI safely and thoughtfully in the future.
The workshop will be led by Sander Mikkov. Sander graduated from TALTECH’s IT Faculty and has extensive professional experience in software development. He is an AI expert and enthusiast, and his training sessions are engaging and interesting.
The workshop combines clear explanations with practical examples. It is suitable for beginners as well as experienced AI users.
The workshop will take place at the Luuletaja Betti Alver Museum. Participation is free, but places are limited and registration is required. Please register early; we look forward to welcoming you to the workshop.
The workshop is part of AI Week and the Eesti.ai initiative “The Most AI-Savvy Nation”.
