What Shines in the Dark | Holiday Concert | Liepājas teātris

In the darkness of winter, many things shine: hopes, sparklers, dreams, snow, candle flames, frost flowers, a little ring fallen on the ground, strings of lights, Christmas tree ornaments, stars, the holiday tram, angel hair and another person’s eyes. In the darkness of winter, it is easier to notice what shines, and easier to believe in it! It is easier to hear it in songs, keep it in your heart and take it with you as a warm memory, like a talisman for the new year. “What Shines in the Dark will be a musical tram ride on a snowy winter evening, a chance to spend time with yourself and with one another, and to find what has been lost—what shines in the dark and is so closely connected to you,” says Paula Pļavniece. Director: Paula Pļavniece. The concert features Agnese Jēkabsone, Anete Rimkus, Anda Albuže, Laura Jeruma, Santa Breikša, Dārta Cīrule, Valts Skuja, Kārlis Artejevs, Viktors Ellers, Kaspars Kārkliņš and Sandis Pēcis, as well as musicians led by Normunds Kalniņš.
