Ēriks Kūlis at 85: Opening of Volume X of His Collected Works

On 12 November at 17:00, an event celebrating the 85th birthday of writer Ēriks Kūlis will take place in the Exhibition Gallery of Liepājas Latviešu biedrības nams, bringing together literature, music and warm greetings. For decades, Ēriks Kūlis has been closely associated with Liepāja’s literary and cultural life. His works bring to life people’s fortunes, everyday events and observations on life, with no shortage of humour, poignancy or the storytelling talent characteristic of the writer. The centrepiece of the anniversary celebration will be the opening of Volume X of his collected works. The event will include congratulations and speeches; stage artists Aina Karele and Edgars Pujāts will read the writer’s works, while Valdis Aivars’s ensemble will provide the music. Everyone who cares about literature and Liepāja’s cultural life is invited to join this special gathering and celebrate the writer on his milestone birthday. Admission is free.
