The conference is organised by the Pärnumaa Folk Costume Advisory Centre and Pärnu Museum. We welcome researchers, makers, teachers and wearers of folk costumes, as well as everyone else interested in folk costumes.
Presentations at the conference will cover Pärnumaa sheepskin coats and Lihula white jackets, silver jewellery and gleaming metal buttons. There will also be talks about life with tradition on Kihnu, village fiddlers in Pärnumaa and the work of village tailors.
The conference continues Igor Tõnurist’s work of sharing knowledge about the study, making and wearing of folk costumes. The participation fee includes lunch, coffee breaks and admission to all exhibitions at Pärnu Museum.
