On Friday, 6 November, at 12:30, Professor Dr. paed. Zanda Rubene of the University of Latvia will give a lecture at the Assembly Hall of RTU Liepāja Academy: “Change for the Better! What Should Education Be Like to Truly Foster Growth Today?”
The professor will address the role of education in personal growth and the quality of the learning process, including questions such as: What should education be like to truly foster personal growth? Is there enough time in today’s education for slow, in-depth learning experiences? Can—and why might—the principle “less is more” lead to higher-quality learning? How is artificial intelligence changing the learning process, and what does it mean to learn in the age of artificial intelligence? How can education balance preparation for future challenges with the development of the individual?
Prof. Dr. paed. Zanda Rubene is a professor and leading researcher at the University of Latvia, with many years of academic and research experience in the philosophy of education, research ethics, and digital childhood studies.
The event is free and open to all interested visitors, who must complete a registration form in advance. Attendees will be able to receive a certificate of participation.
