I invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition “The Grandeur of the Hanseatic League: How Wealth Was Created in the Middle Ages” at the Great Guild Hall, a branch of the History Museum. The tour will take place on 5 December at 15:00.
The exhibition “The Grandeur of the Hanseatic League: How Wealth Was Created in the Middle Ages” focuses on a Hanseatic merchant. By following his life, visitors will learn about the nature of the Hanseatic system and how wealth and the culture characteristic of the Middle Ages came to our lands. The exhibition features objects that reflect this wealth, archaeological finds never before displayed, and unique exhibits.
It is symbolic that the exhibition is being held in the Great Guild Hall, the representative house of Tallinn’s merchants. The building itself is a silent witness to Hanseatic splendour and a jewel among the guild halls of the Nordic countries.
We will meet in front of the Great Guild Hall on 5 December at 15:00. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours. The tour costs €12; children under 12 go free. The museum admission ticket is paid for separately on site.
Admission to the Great Guild Hall:
General admission: €14
Discounted admission (pupil, student, teacher, pensioner): €9
The Museum Card is also valid.
The tour is led by guide Julia Ruljova.
