“Radinieki” — Ukrainian Family Comedy in Riga!

The Ukrainian Film Club in Estonia invites audiences in Latvia to a screening of the new Ukrainian comedy “Родичі” (“Radinieki”)! The film was made by a team that also worked on the popular comedy “Ну мам” (“Nu mam”). The producer and originator of both films is Jevhens Tallers.

A large family gathers to celebrate Grandma Nadja’s 80th birthday. But the festivities soon turn into a battle over an inheritance. Practical-minded granddaughter Marija returns after several years away, having learned that her grandmother plans to leave her the family home in a village near Kyiv. But Uncle Hrihorijs is not ready to give the house to his niece. Who will win this family dispute?

“Radinieki” is a warm and witty comedy about family ties, arguments, misunderstandings and unexpected twists. Familiar characters and comic situations remind us that even in the midst of the biggest disagreements, family remains important.
