Minions and Monsters

The beloved yellow Minions embark on an all-new adventure this summer, taking viewers to Hollywood in the 1920s—the era when the first monster movies were born. This time, the Minions aren’t working for Gru. Instead, they set off on a wild journey to find terrifying creatures for their own monster movie. Along the way, they encounter sea creatures, a giant pink rabbit, a mummy and a cute green being who unexpectedly becomes their new friend. The film is directed by Oscar® nominee Pierre Coffin, who directed the first three Despicable Me films and the first Minions film. Coffin has also voiced the Minions since their first film appearance in 2010. The screenplay is by Brian Lynch (Minions, The Secret Life of Pets) and Pierre Coffin. The film is produced by Illumination Oscar®-nominated founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and Bill Ryan (The Super Mario Bros. Movie – executive producer). Brian Lynch is executive producer. The film will also be screened in the innovative ICE cinema auditorium.
