Lighting of the Advent Candle in Pärnu / Mihkel Raud Acoustic Concert
At 16:00, much-loved Advent and Christmas songs will be performed at Pärnu Eliisabet Church.
At 16:30, an Advent candle procession will set off from Eliisabet Church to Iseseisvuse Square, led by Santa Claus, the Mayor of Pärnu and the pastor of Eliisabet Congregation.
At 16:45, the start of the Advent season will be announced at Iseseisvuse Square: the Christmas tree lights will be switched on, and the pastor of Pärnu Eliisabet Congregation and the Mayor of Pärnu, led by Santa Claus, will distribute the living Advent flame.
At 17:00, Mihkel Raud will perform an acoustic concert. Dancers from Laine Mägi Dance School will help keep the festive spirit going.
During and after the concert, Santa Claus will listen to children recite Christmas poems! LC Pärnu Koidula will offer hot Christmas tea.
Be sure to bring a candle or lantern, as the Advent flame will be shared with everyone who wishes to take it home.
