The Blue Diamond Case | Detective Game in English

One manor. One crime. One missing diamond. On 27 November, I invite you to an interactive detective investigation in English. During a private evening at Blackwood Manor, the lights suddenly go out. When they come back on, one of the guests is found dead, and the famous Blue Diamond has vanished from its locked display case. Everyone present is under suspicion. Each person has their own version of events. Some details don’t add up, and the most obvious explanation may be wrong.

You’ll work together in a small team, examine the case materials and reconstruct what happened that evening.

What to expect:
• Statements from suspects and witnesses;
• A crime scene map and timeline of events;
• Clues, contradictions and unexpected details;
• Discussion of motives and possible theories;
• A final presentation of your team’s solution;
• The official reveal of the case.

After the presentations, we’ll compare the theories and find out which team reconstructed the events most accurately.

How you’ll practise English
English will be the working language of the investigation. You’ll ask questions, share theories, agree and disagree, explain your suspicions and defend your team’s conclusions.

This is not a lesson, lecture or play. You don’t need to learn a script, act a role or speak perfectly. All the materials and instructions you need will be provided on site.

Who it’s for
The event is suitable for adults with English level B1 or above. You can come alone; teams will be formed on site.
