Central Estonia Guides’ Experience Day

The Central Estonia tourism organisation invites certified and practising guides from Viljandi County, Järva County, Põltsamaa Municipality and Tõrva Municipality to the Central Estonia Guides’ Experience Day.

What’s happening?

Sharing their experiences:

- Writer Gert Kiiler from Viljandi, who offers walks around his hometown following the adventures of his novel’s hero, private detective Paul Johnson. How did he come up with this tour, and how has it gone so far?
- History teacher Jaak Juske from Tallinn believes that working as a guide lets him travel through time every day and turn an ordinary day into an adventure. His topic is “How to bring old stories to life?”
- Signe Susi, programme manager at Viljandi Museum, looks back on the Year of Johann Köler and the “Walk with a Local” sessions in Viljandi. She will summarise the experience and visitor numbers.
- Johanna Joandi, data specialist at the Central Estonia tourism organisation, will talk about the opportunities offered by the www.puhkaeestis.ee portal and the importance of entering your service there.
- Piret Sihver, destination manager at Visit Järva, will talk about the important role guides play in making the Central Estonia region more sustainable.
