Menuets Concert at the Benjamin House

“Menuets” is a legendary Latvian rock band founded in 1968 in Jūrmala. It is one of the oldest bands in the history of Latvian music. During the Soviet era, MENUETS’s music symbolised freedom, spiritual independence and resistance to restrictions for many people. The band will therefore perform a special concert at the Benjamin House to mark the anniversary of Latvia’s independence.

The concert will feature some of “Menuets’” most beautiful and popular songs of all time, written by Imants Kalniņš: “Viņi dejoja vienu vasaru”, “Alvas zaldātiņi”, “Dzeguzes balss”, “Dziesma, ar ko tu sācies”, “Četri balti krekli” and others, as well as the band’s early songs, written by Adrians Kukuvass, Juris Sējāns and Juris Kulakovs.
