Jõhvi – Practical Workshop: AI in Office Work

Friday afternoon: 40 emails in your inbox, and by morning you need a summary of yesterday’s meeting. How much of this could AI do? Who it’s for: anyone who writes emails, prepares documents, fills in spreadsheets, or plans work—from assistants to managers. Level: beginner; suitable for newcomers. Format: 3 hours (4 academic hours), split into two parts, with a break in between. Part one: how AI works, where it saves time, data protection, and responsibility. Part two is hands-on: you’ll turn meeting notes into a draft set of minutes and check the result. After the workshop, you’ll know how to write a prompt that produces a usable draft straight away; turn notes into minutes and a long document into a short summary; draft a reply to an email and adjust its tone; and use AI to create a spreadsheet or work plan. Before the workshop: bring one real work task (for example, meeting notes) with no personal data. Bring a laptop or smartphone; the free versions of tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini are enough. Trainer: to be announced soon. Time and place: 19.11.2026, Jõhvi.
