AI answered confidently and included a source—but that source doesn’t exist. Would you notice? Here, you’ll learn to use AI confidently and safely.
Who it’s for: Anyone who uses AI at work or at home, or wants to get started.
Level: Beginner; no prior knowledge needed.
Format: 3 hours (4 academic hours), in two parts, with a break in between.
Part one covers how AI works, sensitive data, scams, responsibility, and the EU AI Act. In part two, you’ll practise spotting a fabricated answer and anonymising a work prompt.
After the workshop, you’ll be able to:
- Decide what data you can share with AI.
- Anonymise a prompt while keeping the result useful.
- Spot a fabricated fact or source.
- Recognise a scam email or fake image made with AI.
Before the workshop: Think of one task you’d like to do with AI but aren’t sure you’re allowed to. Bring a laptop or smartphone; the free versions of tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini are sufficient.
Trainer: Julian Kaljuvee is an AI engineer who has delivered AI projects for international companies, including in the energy and finance sectors. He is a co-founder of EstoniAI Meetup and an AI trainer, and studied economics, applied mathematics, and computer science at Harvard University.
Time and place: 18 November 2026, 14:00–17:00, Melliste Library, Tartu maantee 8, Melliste. Participation is free; places are limited—register via Fienta!
The workshop is part of AI Week and the Eesti.ai initiative “The Most AI-Savvy Nation”.
