AI is a valuable assistant in everyday work, but how can you use it so that the results are reliable and sensitive information remains protected? When is it worth using AI, and how can you do so wisely?
In this practical workshop, we’ll explore how AI works and the opportunities it offers in different professions. We’ll learn how to write better prompts, assess the reliability of AI-generated answers, and spot situations where an apparently convincing answer may actually be misleading.
A strong focus will be on safety and responsibility: what information can be shared with AI; how to protect personal data and confidential information; and what you need to know about copyright and the rules governing AI use.
In the workshop, we will:
- explore how AI works, its capabilities and its limitations;
- discover practical ways to use AI for different work tasks;
- learn to write clear, effective prompts to get higher-quality answers;
- practise critically assessing AI-generated content and checking facts;
- discuss data protection, confidentiality and the main information security risks;
- learn about responsible AI use and key legal requirements;
- analyse real-life work situations and discuss when using AI is sensible, risky or best avoided;
- take away simple principles for using AI safely and thoughtfully in the future.
The workshop will be led by Mirjam Rätsep, who has completed a master’s degree in the IT Faculty at TALTECH and has extensive work experience in IT as an analyst and engineer.
The workshop combines clear explanations with practical examples. It is suitable for both beginners and experienced AI users.
The workshop will take place at Laitse Library. Participation is free, but places are limited and registration is required. Please register early; we look forward to welcoming you.
The workshop is part of Arunädal and the Eesti.ai initiative “The Most AI-Savvy Nation”.
