Võru – Safe AI Use and Risk Mitigation

AI helps create documents, analyse information, develop ideas and simplify everyday work. Using it thoughtfully helps you ask more precise questions, assess the quality of results, and protect your own and your organisation’s data. In this practical workshop, you’ll get a clear overview of AI’s capabilities and the principles of safe use. Through examples and group exercises, you’ll learn to choose appropriate information, write effective prompts, and check the answers you receive.

Who is the workshop for?
The workshop is suitable both for beginners and for those who have already tried AI and want to improve their skills. We’ll explain all the key terms and techniques in plain language.

In the workshop, you will:
- Get an overview of how AI works, what it can do, and its limitations.
- Learn to write clear prompts and provide AI with suitable background information.
- Practise using personal data, client information and company materials thoughtfully.
- Learn to assess the accuracy of answers and verify facts and sources.
- Explore AI-generated images, videos and voices, and learn to spot signs of misinformation and scams.
- Learn to recognise malicious instructions designed to influence AI behaviour.
- Develop practical principles for using AI safely.

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
- Choose what information to share with AI and how to protect sensitive data.
- Write prompts with a clear purpose.
- Assess AI responses and verify important claims.
- Use AI more thoughtfully and confidently in your everyday work.

To take part
Bring a laptop and charger. For the practical exercises, you should have an account with an AI tool such as ChatGPT or Gemini. If you don’t have a personal laptop, please let us know and we can arrange a device for you.

About the trainer
Olari Miiter is an entrepreneur and an AI implementation strategy specialist. He has trained teams at more than 20 companies, delivered over 40 online training sessions, and shared AI skills with more than 2,700 participants. Olari has completed Harvard Business School Online’s “AI Essentials for Business” programme. His workshops focus on real work tasks, practical examples and hands-on experimentation by participants.
