Introductory Course for German-Speaking Hiiumaa Guides

The training develops German-language workplace communication skills for the tourism sector, as well as the knowledge and skills needed for guiding. Participants learn to present Hiiumaa’s history, nature, culture, sights and cultural heritage, and to communicate with clients in a range of service situations. Practical work includes creating German-language guide texts and practising guided tours on foot and by bus. Participants also independently translate or create German-language materials introducing Hiiumaa. The trainer is Thilo Fürstenberg.
