Drumming Lessons with Taavi — 10 November 🔥🪘

Instructor Taavi Ram has over 20 years of experience playing the djembe. Each session, we work on specific rhythms and build them up step by step, from individual strokes to a complete part. The group runs through the autumn and winter season, so there’s plenty of time to progress at a relaxed pace. 🪘

There are only 8 loaner drums in the group. If you don’t have your own djembe, buy your ticket in advance. Once the drums are booked, there may be no spare drums available on site. If you’re bringing your own djembe, you have more time to decide, but a ticket is still required to secure your place.

It’s suitable if you’ve already been playing drums for a while and know the basic strokes. We don’t start over from scratch every Tuesday; instead, we continue learning from week to week.

What we learn on Tuesdays doesn’t stay in the room: our Ingliranna Tule ja Trummi collective has already played at nearly ten different events. When a new opportunity comes up, participants in Drumming Lessons get first priority, and often that means a free pass to the event. Performing is always optional—you join in only if you want to.

A complete beginner? Start with the Thursday drumming circle, where you can learn the basics; Tuesday will be there for you afterwards. https://fb.me/e/7lWWGNT8r
