The tour of the exhibition “Is It Easy to Be Old?” is led by Kai Saks, Associate Professor Emerita at the University of Tartu, researcher of geriatrics and aging, and author of the book “Frankly About Aging.” It is known that women live longer on average than men. But why is that? Is it due to biological differences in aging, lifestyles, the prevalence of diseases, or perhaps the social environment? During this themed tour of the University of Tartu Museum exhibition “Is It Easy to Be Old?”, Kai Saks will explore differences in how men and women age, drawing on scientific research, and invite visitors to consider what we can do with this knowledge to live longer and healthier lives.
