A Serious Comedy: “All In”

Intara Rešetina-Pētersona’s comedy “Uz visu banku!” returns to Liepājas Olympic Centre. The leading roles are played by the director himself and either Normunds Laizāns or Artis Robežnieks. Some people draw, some sing, others play the piano, climb mountains, ride bicycles or go on long walks. Everyone enjoys life according to their own tastes and means. But when life’s sudden twists throw you overboard and, in middle age, you are forced to find a solution, you often hit a dead end. When you set out determined to ask the bank for a loan, but they refuse because you are too old and have neither a guarantor nor collateral, and your sister helplessly places her heavy hand on your shoulder, ready to push you to your knees, desperation leaves you able to say only this to the bank director: “If you don’t give me a loan, I’ll seduce and sleep with your wife!” This will be a truly gripping battle for survival between two actors.
