Other Mommy

“May I come into your heart?” From producer James Wan—one of the most influential creators in modern horror—and Blumhouse Atomic Monster, the studio behind the box-office hits “Backrooms” and “Sundmõte,” comes a new horror thriller. Directed by rising genre star Rob Savage, it takes viewers into the darkening world of a young girl, Bela, as she forms a bond with a sinister creature lurking in her home that looks exactly like her own mother. Oscar winner Jessica Chastain (“It: Chapter Two,” “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”) plays two characters: both Bela’s mother and “Other Mommy.” Jay Duplass (“Industry”) plays Bela’s father, and Arabella Olivia Clark (“The Housemaid”) plays Bela. Also appearing are Dichen Lachman (“Severance”), Arian Moayed (“Succession”), and screen legend Karen Allen (the Indiana Jones saga). The horror film “Other Mommy” is directed by Rob Savage (“Host,” “The Boogeyman”). The screenplay is by WGA Award winner Nathan Elston (“Succession”); the film is based on Josh Malerman’s (“Bird Box”) New York Times bestseller “Incidents Around the House.”
