Minions and Monsters

The beloved yellow Minions go on an adventure this summer in a brand-new story that takes viewers to 1920s Hollywood, when the first monster movies were born. This time, the Minions aren’t working for Gru; instead, they set off on a wild journey to find terrifying creatures for their own monster movie. Along the way, they encounter sea creatures, a giant pink rabbit, a mummy, and a cute green being who unexpectedly becomes their new friend. The film is directed by Oscar® nominee Pierre Coffin, who directed the first three Despicable Me films and the first Minions film. Coffin has also voiced the Minions since their first film appearance in 2010. The screenplay is by Brian Lynch (Minions, The Secret Life of Pets) and Pierre Coffin. The film is produced by Illumination’s Oscar®-nominated founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and Bill Ryan (The Super Mario Bros. Movie – executive producer). Brian Lynch is an executive producer. The film will also be screened in the innovative ICE auditorium.
