The Other Mommy

“May I come into your heart?” From producer James Wan—one of the most influential creators in modern horror—and Blumhouse Atomic Monster, the studio behind the box-office hits “Backrooms” and “Sundmõte,” comes a terrifying new horror thriller. Directed by rising genre star Rob Savage, the film takes viewers into the increasingly dark world of a young girl, Bela, as she forms a bond with a sinister creature lurking in her home—one identical to her own mother.

Oscar winner Jessica Chastain (“It: Chapter Two,” “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”) plays two characters: Bela’s mother and “The Other Mommy.” Jay Duplass (“Industry”) plays Bela’s father, and Arabella Olivia Clark (“The Housemaid”) plays Bela. Also starring are Dichen Lachman (“Severance”), Arian Moayed (“Succession”), and screen legend Karen Allen (the Indiana Jones saga).

The horror film “The Other Mommy” is directed by Rob Savage (“Host,” “The Boogeyman”). The screenplay is by WGA Award winner Nathan Elston (“Succession”); the film is based on Josh Malerman’s (“Bird Box”) New York Times bestseller “Incidents Around the House.”
