Immersive Sound Healing Show: RITUAL. Viņsaule

A journey through the cycle of time

Evening. Night. Dawn. Day. Light replaces darkness; day is born and passes, and everything begins again. This cycle existed long before us and will remain after us. RITUAL. Viņsaule is built around it: music and images take you through all four parts of the day.

The evening is rooted in Latvian folk songs, dainas, presented in a contemporary and unexpected sound. They were sung by people who lived in this land before us: about love and worries, nature, life and death. The songs passed from one generation to the next and were preserved in memory.

Ancient melodies meet ambient and contemporary music, sound healing, improvisation and live electronics. Sounddive Voices’ singing intertwines with gongs, crystal bowls, cello, flute, kokle, Kotamo and guitar. You will feel the low frequencies of the large gong in your chest before you hear them.

On the enormous screens, Latvia’s nature comes to life: forest, water, wind and mist, animals and birds, earth and sky. The scenes change with the music.

Guests will settle onto soft mattresses. Everyone will receive a blanket and an eye mask. You can put on the mask whenever you want to sink deeper into the experience. You don’t need to know anything about meditation or sound healing. Just come and lie down.

Please arrive on time: the show begins in darkness. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring warm socks.
