The exhibition “White Gold: The Story of Estonian Porcelain” has been open at the Maarjamäe Castle of the History Museum since 30 October 2026. It presents the history of Estonia’s porcelain industry. The exhibition is accompanied by a lecture series in which experts discuss the story of Estonian porcelain from different perspectives.
The first lecture takes place on Saturday, 14 November, when ceramic artist Talvi Vellend will talk about the history of classical Estonian porcelain painting, its pleasures and challenges, from Langebraun to the present day. The lecture will be held in the fireplace room at Maarjamäe Castle, starting at 13:00. A lecture ticket also allows visitors to explore the exhibition at Maarjamäe Castle independently.
