TantsuRUUM Contact Improvisation

Contact improvisation practice classes focus on the basic techniques of contact improvisation, exploring dance as a playful dialogue centred on physical contact with one or more dancers. The classes welcome both those interested in trying contact improvisation for the first time and experienced dancers and practitioners. You don’t need a partner or any specific preparation to join—just an open mind and curiosity.

In TantsuRUUM’s 9th season, contact improvisation sessions continue every Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. Follow liikumisSESOON’s activities on Facebook and Instagram. This season, the programme is curated by dance artists Marta Jamsja and Krista Köster in collaboration with other TantsuRUUM members. TantsuRUUM is run by the Estonian Dance Agency in collaboration with curators who are Estonian dance artists.
