Amàta premiere

It begins with a feeling. With curiosity. With a longing for closeness, amid isolation. In a world that moves faster than we can feel, we long for moments of genuine human connection. What does it mean to be connected to someone? Is sensing one another enough to create closeness?

Amàta is a contemporary dance performance created through a collaboration between artists from Estonia, Spain and Italy. The work explores the tensions between being oneself and belonging, with the body at its centre as a universal means of communication. Maria Kõrvits’s original music carries the dancers through space like an autumn wind through leaves—unexpectedly, dynamically and intensely. Together, light and movement create a complete stage work that invites you to step away from everyday life for a moment and experience something truly.

Amàta is led by Amanda Tender and Eva Lotta Kliimask, recent graduates of Tallinn University BFM’s choreography programme. “We have both continued to develop our artistic voices abroad, and now we want to challenge ourselves even further: to create an international project of our own.”

Our goal? For you to leave the theatre feeling as fresh as a clean white shirt straight out of the washing machine.

Premiere: 26 November 2026 at Tallinn University BFM’s Mait Agu Hall.

*Following the premiere, there will be an artist talk in English with the team, moderated by Reti Ann Niimann.
