THEATRE | Latvian Ukrainian Theatre Production “Lāčplēsis”

To mark the anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, Latvian and Ukrainian traditions, values and stories will come together at a cultural and friendship event. Young performers from the Ukrainian Theatre in Latvia “TETRIS”, under the direction of Diāna Kačane, will present their interpretation of the Latvian folk hero Lāčplēsis, highlighting the significance of courage, freedom and the strength of a people. The performance will be in Ukrainian with Latvian subtitles. During the event, visitors can discover crafts made by artisans and find special gifts, as well as enjoy traditional Ukrainian borscht and homemade pies. There will also be an opportunity to take part in collecting humanitarian aid in support of Ukraine, demonstrating solidarity and the strength of community.
